About Joel @ The Miracle Studio

Magic has been part of Joel Dickinson’s life since he was ten years old.

What began as a childhood fascination quickly became something much bigger. By his teens, Joel was already performing professionally, gaining experience both in the UK and abroad.

Over the years, he has performed everywhere from theatres and cabaret venues to hundreds of weddings, as well as on the streets of York, London and Barcelona and in towns and villages throughout the UK.

That experience taught him first-hand what genuinely captures an audience and, just as importantly, what actually works in the real world.

For more than twenty years, Joel has developed his own distinctive approach to magic and mentalism: direct, practical, deceptive, fun and built around strong moments.

A Creator as Much as a Performer

Alongside performing, Joel has spent much of his career creating original magic.

His effects have been performed by magicians around the world, distributed internationally and featured through some of the biggest names and companies in the magic industry.

He has written books and booklets, produced instructional material, lectured for magic clubs across the UK, created material for other professional magicians and written secret material for performers working in television and live entertainment.

But awards have never been the goal.

Joel created The Miracle Studio as a home for his ideas.

The focus is simple: original magic that is practical enough to actually perform.

No routines designed purely to look good on camera. No unnecessary complexity. No methods that collapse the moment they leave the perfect conditions of a studio.

Everything released through The Miracle Studio is approached from the perspective of somebody who has spent decades actually performing for real audiences.
